Extra Charges

For the vast majority of the jobs we do, these charges will not apply. However there are circumstances, where all these little extra tasks add up to significant extra work, and then we have to cover these costs.

If we are notified in advance, we will provide all the information we can to make what extra we will charge clear. However if we are notified when we arrive or late or on the day (ie after 6pm the night before), these charges may be applied without notice as extra charges.

We have no desire to over charge, so if the additional charges below are less than 20 units, we will waive them but, they will apply in full if they are 20 units or more..

Carrying Boxes
At least 2 Units per box

For each box we move from a storage location (ie garage, shed, ony other storage area), we will charge 2 units per box (up to 100yds and one flight of stairs or lift to the appropriate floor) + 2 units per extra flight of stairs (4 or more steps). If two people are required to lift a box this will be doubled.

Secure Storage
10 units

Collecting items from a secure storage location where we need to unlock/lock it unsupervised, we charge 10 units.

Carrying Waste to your bins
2 units per trip (blocks of flats)

Removing waste packing to your waste facility on site, such as a bin storage area for a block of flats, 2 units per trip.

Key Collection
10 units - Concierge
30 units - Agent off site

We charge 10 units for dealing with a concierge to gain access to your property, or 30 units (+ parking) for collecting keys from an alternative address (ie estate agent, letting agent or other 3rd party) more than 100 yards away.

Supplier Info Required

There are lots of ways to share IKEA information. The simplest two are the 8-digit product codes, for example 123.456.78 (also displayed in many places as 12345678). However, it gets complicated with larger orders and what we call the IKEA Curve Ball. Large Orders: If you can copy and paste your whole order from your receipt (remember quantities are important), that is ideal. If you cannot, you will receive an email and you can email us a photo or screenshot of it — our AI will pull all the codes out and create your quote. IKEA Curve Ball: IKEA use aggregate product codes, so a PAX wardrobe (modular) displayed on their website will have a single product code, which is actually made up of numerous product codes for all the frames, doors and KOMPLEMENT fittings it is built from. IKEA have done this with the MALM beds as well — the bed, the slats and the SKORVA mid-beam all have separate codes. IKEA also have Planners for BESTÅ, PAX and PLATSA to help you design your wardrobe. You can send us your 6-character design code (letters and numbers) and we can view your design and create a quote. However, if you want a quote whilst you are online, please send us all the codes from your order.
